There are many. First, by rejuvenating the asphalt substrate, the granules will have better adhesion, reducing granule loss. Second, since the asphalt substrate will be more pliable, the negative affects of foot traffic on the roof will lessened. Third, since there are over 7 million tons of waste asphalt shingles deposited in landfills each year, equivalent to nearly 3% of all municipal sold waste, the use of ShingleLife will reduce this amount and help our environment.
