Open auditions are few and far between. So it is very unlikely. Most casting directors use agent, this saves them time and money. They send notification to the agant(s) they use describing exactly what they require age, appearance, skills etc. The agent goes through the books sending people for audition that meet these requirements, This saves the casting director a lot of time and gives them people to audition that may be suitable, it also saves the actors time and money going for auditions when they have no chance of getting the part. This is why in general you have little chance of breaking into acting without an agent. Most stage schools have their own agent, some will take on people from outside their agency after auditioning them to assess their skills. there are also indepenant agents who most will audition you to assess your skills.
