Are there any online materials I can use in my online or hybrid course or in MyPima without asking for permission?

Yes. As indicated in What You Can Do, you are allowed to link to materials on the web. Your campus librarian can assist you with linking to materials in any of the library’s subscription databases. Use of materials in these databases – including articles, pictures, transcripts, some video clips, and podcasts – is covered by license. One important caveat: you can copy the articles from these databases and embed them in a course, but only for one semester; thereafter, you must link to them. The PCC Library has developed a handout relating to the use of durable links to library resources. Remember that any use of copyrighted material found on the Internet is subject to the principles of fair use, so when in doubt, obtain permission, and always provide a proper citation or credit to the source.
