Are there any online free legal advice web sites? If so what are they?
You don’t need to go to free law websites. First go to the Court and speak with the judge. Take copies of your birth certificate and your Dad’s marriage certificate if you can find them. Do not do this over the phone, do it in person. File copies of these documents with the court. After you have spoken with the judge go to the Dallas County District Attorney’s office and talk with them. It is felony to file false documents with a court. If you Mother had a decent estate I encourage you to hire an attorney. It is wirth it and the relatives can be stopped fairly easily. If your Mother dies without a will you nad your brothers and sisters share the property equally. The most the stepfather might get is a life estate in the homestead. You can also check with the Dallas Bar Association and she if there is a Legal Aid Clinic. SMU Law School may also have one. Good Luck.
