Are there any new parks being developed in West Sacramento?
The final phase of improvements at Patwin Park are now under construction. When finished, the park will have two new half-size basketball courts, shade canopies over the picnic area, boulder-style play equipment for tots and young children, bicycle racks and new play turf on the naturalized landscape. Also, the project will expand the Summerfield Park off-leash dog play area. The City is also expanding River Walk Park from E Street to the I Street Bridge. The project is moving forward in coordination with the levee repair project. If weather permits, the River Walk Park Expansion will extend the levee-top promenade, add more pathway at the river bank, a new park access and restroom at the end of E Street by the end of this year.
