Answer Senate Bill 1 requires regional areas of the state to develop regional water plans “to identify those policies and actions that may be needed to meet Texas near- and long-term water needs based on a reasonable projected use of water, affordable water supply availability, and conservation of the states natural resources.” Wood County is included in Region (D) North East Texas.
