Are there any necessary requirements to participate in the India-based volunteer programs?
The only qualifications are: An open mind and a willingness to teach others as well a passion for helping those in need. Enthusiasm for living abroad and meeting new people. Be in good health. Visa Information US citizens require a passport and visa to enter and exit India for any purpose. Volunteers must obtain visas at an Indian Embassy or Consulate abroad prior to entering the country, as there are no provisions for visas upon arrival. Those arriving without a visa are subject to immediate deportation.
