Are there any MP3 players that can be connected to the AUXILARY port of a Hifi Unit?
Yes, any MP3 player can be connected in this manner by using a HIFI Connection Cable (4.99 from the Accessories section of the website). This cable connects into an MP3 player’s headphone socket and has two output cables to connect to the left and right stereo channels of a HIFI. These two channels can be combined to one connector by using an adapter. I own a NAPA DAV 396 and, while it plays audio CDs, it fails to recognise certain MP3 CDs (Message: No MP3). The MP3 CDs contain about 200 tracks each and have been written in relatively low speeds (4x-8x). Once I got a compilation to work by changing the CD file system type from Joliet to ISO 9660, but other CDs written with the same parameters are not recognised. Any hints? We would recommend that you try changing the manufacturer of your CD media and that you try cleaning the laser of the DAV396. Also, we would recommend that you write the CD in data mode in a single session.
