Yes, there are tons. AMC Boston Common is a short walk down Tremont St from Park Street. That is the big multiplex theater. In Harvard Square, there is a movie theater on Church St (take the Church St exit from the station, you can’t miss it), and there is also an art house theater called the Brattle. The Landmark Theater, which shows mostly independent films, is just outside Kendall Square (its a 5-10 minute walk from the station, but there are signs that direct you to the theater). Then there is also a theater at Alewife, which is a smaller, older mainstream theater. Somerville Theater is right in Davis Square. It’s also a music venue, but they show discounted second run movies.
