Are there any medications that interact with Phendimetrazine?
Phendimetrazine should not be used while taking (or less than 14 days after taking) a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor. This could result in extreme high blood pressure and other side effects. • Furoxone (furazolidone) • Marplan (isocarboxazid) • Nardil (phenelzine • Matulane (procarbazine) • Elepryl (selegiline) • Parnate (tranylcypromine) Use of the following medications with Phendimetrazine may cause high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat: • Elavil (amitriptyline) • Asendin (amoxapine) • Anafranil (clomipramine) • Pertofrane (desipramine) • Sinequan (doxepin) • Tofranil (imipramine) • Aventyl (nortriptyline) • Vivactil (protriptyline) • Surmontil (trimipramine) In addition: Phendimetrazine may decrease the effects of blood-pressure lowering medications (guanethidine). Phendimetrazine may alter the effects of diabetic medication. Phendimetrazine in conjunction with other CNS type stimulants may cause over stimulation & other adverse reactions such as. • Cold & Sinus medication •
