Are there any medical conditions that would make a massage session inadvisable?

Yes. Anyone with a communicable disease such as measles, mumps and chicken pox may not receive a massage. Those with heart conditions or cancer will require a doctor’s note before any massage session will take place. Discomfort from a current cold will be more enhanced after a massage, and therefore inadvisable. When in doubt, cancel your appointment.
