Are there any Malaysian “Ramly Burgers” available in LA????
Herbert N. says: i was reading a hamburger blog this morning that referenced a type of burger that i had never hear of before… it is a style of burger that originated in Malaysia called a “Ramly Burger”… they are apparently a ubiquitous food item sold by street food mongers in malaysia and are pretty popular there. can’t believe i had never heard of it… apparently it is basically a meat patty wrapped in a thin scrambled egg omlette and served in a traditional hamburger bun with chopped asian cabbage and various sauces as s condiment (though there are numerous accepted variations). i was fascinated by this strange but oddly enticing bastardization of the american classic i did a wiki and youtube search and found more info on this sandwich (see below): http://www.youtube.com… http://en.wikipedia.or… has anyone by any chance run across a Ramly burger here in LA? if so, let me know where….
