Are there any major movements against the mafia today like the ricos of the 70s?
Answer Justin, The major bosses are no longer very “major” at all. LCN as we know it has never truly recovered from the Department of Justice’s attention using the RICO statute among many others involving racketeering, interstate commerce, bribery, fraud, labor union racketeering, income tax evasion, narcotics trafficing and so on. Most of this was actually in the 80’s and early 90’s not the 70’s. As to the greatest leader, well my vote would be for Carlo Gambino, he never spent a night in jail and he died of old age in his own bed.
