Are there any long-term plans for outsourcing information technology services in the Commonwealth?

There are no plans for outsourcing information technology services in the Commonwealth. That said, we cannot take outsourcing off of the table over the long term. On the front end, we do not see any employee layoffs due to outsourcing-we are looking to realize savings by relying on fewer contractors and prefer to invest in improving our in-house skill sets.
