Curtiss: If your credit score is low, it is probably going to be hard to qualify for a consolidation loan, unless someone was willing to co-sign for you on the loan… especially in the current credit market. Lenders that are willing to lend in situations where your credit is not good tend to be high-interest finance companies, and usually these types of loans can actually end up making things worse unless you have an overall plan for your budget.
