Are there any limitations to using the TransitChek QuickPay Card?
The Card can only be used to pay for your commuting costs. Since it is not a credit card, you must be sure that you have enough funds to make the purchase. If you are buying a monthly rail ticket from a ticket vending machine, you need to have the funds available to pay for the entire cost of the monthly ticket. Some operators like NJ TRANSIT and MTA Metro-North Railroad will let you pay part of the cost of a monthly ticket with your Card and the remaining amount with a personal check or cash when at a ticket window or through their Ticket-by-Mail program. Please check with your transit operator before you enroll for a Card to find out their policies so you can make the correct payroll deduction.
