Are there any left wing people out there who would fight to uphold the Second Amendment?
I suppose you could call me a left-wing gun nut. I do believe that “controls” are a scam, and the aim is a ban. Liberals _are_ generally hostile to the Second Amendment, even if some who post here are not. But then, I am not a liberal. I am a Marxian socialist. I was never particularly interested in or familiar with guns. I grew up in an east-coast city which had strict almost Euro-style gun bans. As a Marxian socialist, I always considered it in the abstract as a basic democratic right, and would cluck-cluck and shake my head and say “those darn capitalist politicians have taken it away around here” but never really felt all that involved. Then I moved to a western state and actually could use and carry firearms regularly at ranges and on wilderness treks. I became interested in them as mechanical devices as well as for self defense, and started buying some.
