Currently there are no laws or regulations that encourage the residents or businesses of the State of Qatar to recycle. The current laws only apply to waste collection & disposal as outlined in Qatar Law No. 30-2002. In the near future the State of Qatar will be initiating a national waste management program. This will allow for the development of new laws and regulations for the handling and disposal of waste in Qatar.
