Are there any known issues in accessing the internet from vmware?
You mentioned that you have a laptop. Are you using wireless for your network connection? I’ve had issues using bridged network and checkpoint secure remote and having VMware autodetect what network interface to automatically bridge to. My solutions: A) Easy – configure the vm to use NAT (This is done under vm-settings device – ethernet 1 B) A little harder, but not much – If I want a bridged connection. With the virtual network editor, under the host virtual networking tab. Set up a virtual interface to map to your wireless (or wired) whichever you want the vm to use. Then under VM -> Settings, change the nic to custom and pull down the virtual interface you selected.
