Are there any jobs for writers in the RAF?

I’m not familiar with what the RAF might do, but the U.S. military publishes an armed services newspaper called “Stars and Stripes.” I believe that there is something like an Office of Public Affairs that handles press releases and such. SOMEBODY writes training manuals, the scripts for visual training aids, and recruiting brochures. Plus there are position papers, internal policy papers, and I know that many military historians are themselves serving in the military. Obviously a number of these things would fall under technical writing more than journalism. Your best bet would be to speak to an RAF recruiter in person and ask about opportunities for writers and journalists.
