‘Om triyambaka…’ is called a Mrityunjaya Mantram, i.e., the magic verse to ward off misfortune or death. For the unmarried girls, whishing to get married early, the following ritual is prescribed. They should always chant the name of DURGA DEVI and they should also do the following ritual for 5 weeks. Dried lemons are to be cut into half and the contents are to be removed. They are to be filled in with Cow Ghee, that is, the fat extracted out of cow milk, and cotton wicks are to be placed in them. Daily, the wicks in two such half lemons are to be to be lighted and the name of DURGA is chanted when the lights are glowing. This has to be performed for 5 weeks. The desired result will be there to see.
