There are currently five managed hiking trails in wilderness areas and others are being developed: • Kenomee Canyon Trail in Economy River wilderness area • North River Falls Trail in North River wilderness area • Crowbar Lake Trail, at Waverley Salmon River Long Lake wilderness area • North and South Granite Ridge Trails in White Lake wilderness area. • Admiral Lake and Bayers Lake loops within Ship Harbour Long Lake Wilderness Area Information on these trails and other Nova Scotia trails is available in the brochure Take a Hike – scenic hiking destinations or the Nova Scotia Trails Website. There are also numerous traditionally used routes for hiking, canoeing and coastal kayaking. Please check locally or with someone who knows the area when considering travel along any of these routes.
