Are there any “hidden” costs with the OnSite program?

No. However, additional training costs may be necessary to bring your district into compliance. TASB provides the necessary training for your district environmental personnel. Your district employees are required to have this training: • Asbestos designated person–8 hours (minimum) • Integrated Pest Management coordinator–6 hours (minimum) • Maintenance and custodial employees–2 hours (minimum) asbestos awareness • Maintenance and custodial employees–2 hours (minimum) hazard communication TASB provides this training at discounted prices for all of its member districts. Nonmember districts are welcome to attend the scheduled training at a different price schedule. Many times, on-site consulting and inspections are necessary to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines. Any of these services would be invoiced to the district at a reduced consulting rate. Districts are free to choose any consultant to provide necessary services.
