Are there any Health & Welfare coverages that are mandatory?
You are required to be enrolled in one of the University’s Medical plans. However, if you have other Medical coverage, you must provide documentation within the first 31 days of your hire date that provides proof of other coverage. If you waive Medical coverage on the enrollment form and do not provide proof of other coverage, you will automatically be enrolled in the Low Option Medical plan. In addition, you are automatically enrolled in Basic Life and Long-Term Disability insurance plans.
