Are there any health requirements for bringing horses to the Preserve?

0

The New Mexico State health rules for bringing horses from out-of-state apply; in-state horses are not required to meet any additional health requirements. We recommend that all horses visiting the Preserve be current on all recommended vaccinations, including eastern, western, Venezuelan influenza, tetanus and West Nile Virus. Elevation of the Preserve is 8,700 feet and higher, so be sure your horses are accustomed to high elevations. The Preserve reserves the right to refuse access to any horse we deem unhealthy. Please refer to State’s brand inspection regulations for transporting horses in New Mexico.
