Most people are unaware of all the microwaves bouncing around us anyway. you have mobile phones in every house. cordless DEC phones, geo-stationary satellites broadcasting from the heavens, traffic management controls on the roads, BBC broadcasts over the airwaves (not TV, but direct broadcast of live sporting events etc.), and about a million other signals bouncing around us at any given time.
