Are there any health issues associated with silicone?
There have been many studies made on the safety of silicone, but to this date, there is no evidence linking silicone to any autoimmune diseases or causing any medical problems. Most of the studies have been done on breast implants, the liquid silicone type. The solid silicone form has been used for years without any problems.
