Are there any health concerns or problems that are common with Dobermans?
In general the Doberman breed is healthy, but there are a few problems and diseases that may be of concern including dilated cardiomyopathy, cervical vertebral instability, and von Willebrand’s disease. Hypothyroidism can also be a problem but is can happen in all dogs, not just Doberman Pinschers. Your breeder should be able to address these concerns and make sure that the puppies you are looking at do not have any known problems.
