Are there any Health and Safety regulation relating to Blowmouldings?
The Health and Safety Executive have established Codes of Practice for all plastics Processes and can be obtained at HMSO. What happened to Plastic Gnomes A company in East Anglia England produced these little fellows on a Kautex B13 continuous extrusion machine at a rate of 55/hour, back in the 1970’s. At the height of their manufacture they were produced at the rate of 5 -10,000/week. The types were as follows Sunflower, Watercan, Fishing, Accordion, Sleeping, and Sweeping. The gnomes all spent a little time in our prisons, as they were finish painted by Pridus inmates. Sadly or otherwise they are no longer produced the moulds which came to this world from Long Melford in Suffolk via Selcol Products have been melted down to make other products. The end of an era.
