The Statements on International Management Accounting Practice (IMAP) issued by the IFAC PAIBC (previously known as FMAC) and adopted by the Institute are included in the Members Handbook. These statements offer practical guidance on the application of accounting concepts, procedures, and techniques to the management and control of organizations. They represent widespread accepted practice based on a careful study of options across many sites and circumstances. The last IMAP adopted by the Institute was MAP 7. The IFAC PAIBC did not issue any statements after MAP 7. These statements were renamed the International Management Accounting Practice Statements (IMAPS) by the IFAC PAIBC. IFAC has since withdrawn the IMAPS.
