Are there any guidebooks to Larry Nivens works?
The Guide to Larry Niven’s Ringworld by Kevin Stein (Published by Baen 1994) ISBN: 0-671-72205-0 – Amazon currently lists it as out-of-stock Comments by Paul Colley: It’s nice in that it brings material together in a nice organization, but is certainly less than 100% faithful to Niven’s stories. I (still) haven’t seen the Ringworld RPG, but I suspect that the material is derived more from the RPG than from the known space series. A number of descriptions read more like “rules” than like an “encylopedia”. The new information that isn’t in Niven’s stories is worth the money, but the discrepancies in the information that overlaps is quite annoying.
