Are there any grades that can be used for medical applications requiring biocompatibility?
Two transparent grades of amorphous polyamide — Durethan® T40 and Durethan® T40ZS — meet the requirements of the FDA-modified ISO 10993, Part 1 “Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices” tests with human tissue contact time of 30 days or less.
