Yes, there are at least a half dozen really good restaurants in Puerto Morelos. The rule of thumb for food safety is this: If the food is cooked at the time of order and not before you have the best chance of a terrific meal. Avoid ordering a “plate of the day” – no one knows how long the food has been in the pot.
