Are there any good police games for the PS2 or XBOX 360?
You could try True Crime, on the PS2. When you aren’t doing missions, you can wander around the city (based on LA) and search any passing pedestrian – sometimes you catch a criminal and arrest them for whatever offence they have done (such as carrying a weapon). Not sure if you can stop and search cars on that one. You can also drive around in a car and take on cases that come through the police notifications that happen from time to time (you also recieve these while on foot). You can end up chasing down some felon in a stolen car, or assisting officers in a gunfight or something. There is also True Crime New York, again on PS2 and also Xbox. Again you are a cop in NY, pretty similar to the other one (pretty sure you can search cars randomly in that one). In both of these games you get points for how you carry out any arrests, either good or bad. There is also a story you need to do in NY as well, besides solving crimes! Pretty accurate NY map, too!
