Are there any good Mecha drawing tutorials?
The “details” needs inspirations. That is it needs to be created by your imagination. Since your drawing a Mecha the best inspirations would be the machines themselves. Cars, Robots, Planes, Boats, Power Tools and others. Other objects cold also be a source of inspirations: Bugs, Helmets, Birds, People, Swords and what nots are all viable resources. Of course other people’s drawings are just as nice. They have to say “then add details” because these details are up to you and may require some experimenting. So take up a pencil and a sheet of paper and design one of your own. The more you practice the more confident you would be in adding “details” and could be more daring it embellishing them. Probably you would try only simple ones at first, but later as you gain more confidence and experience, you’ll be spouting out bad *** Mechas.
