Are there any free abortion clinics in chicago?
I don’t live in Chicago, but in any event, I’ve never heard of a free abortion clinic. Chicago will have Planned Parenthood though. They are lower in cost and can help with any questions your friend has. Avoid places with names like “Crisis Pregnancy Center” or “A Door of Hope” or things that sound like that. These are pro-life clinics, and while some of them offer support for someone keeping their baby, none will provide any support or information on abortion. Any information they do give is often incorrect or judgemental. Your friend will get a lecture instead of counselling. These centers also often do NOT have medical staff, but are not always upfront about this. (In college we had a Crisis Pregnancy Center right next to campus. They advertised as being accurate, but only gave urine tests due to the lack of medical personnel. They did not advertise this fact. Blood tests are the only way to be really sure. And they did lecture and use scare tactics like the girl was never going to
