There are many famous Mexican Olympians. Ana Guevara is one of them. She gained fame by winning a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. She is one Mexican running stars of international renown.

Some others include:

Joaquim Capilla who is the top Mexican Individual Olympic medal winner of all time. He won medals mainly in Platform Diving – bronze medal in 1948, silver medal in 1952, and gold medal in 1956. He won a silver medal in springboard diving as well at the 1956 Olympic Games.

Soraya Jiménez Mendivil – Mexican weightlifter and Olympic champion. Won a gold medal in Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000.
