Are there any etiquette classes available for children and teens in the Wilmington area?
This summer, at least two instructors in the Wilmington area are offering classes on etiquette for children and teens: Christine Parker of Teapot Manners and Tracee Meyer of Cape Fear Cotillion. FOR CHILDREN AGES 4 TO 7: Manners Matter, a class taught by Christine Parker, will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. June 13 at Kiddin’ Around Drop-In Play Care, 3715 Patriot Way, Wilmington [Map this]. Children will learn about who needs manners, introductions, setting the table, table manners and tea party manners. To register, call Parker at 686-6999. The cost is $13. Parker, who has taught students from pre-school age to college, holds California teaching credentials and is a broker/Realtor. She began teaching etiquette classes more than two years ago at a school for dance in Durham. FOR CHILDREN AGES 3 TO 7: A Cape Fear Cotillion Pre-Cotillion class for ages 3 to 7 begins at 3 p.m. June 6.
