Are there any drug reactions between azithromycin and aspirin?
There are no direct drug interactions between any aspirin and azithromycin (Zithromax). Take the azithromycin each morning until finished. To protect the stomach, use enteric coated aspirin and/or take with food. I take fluoxetine antidepressants and I have to take 75mg aspirin every day. Can I still take either tramadol or dihydrocodeine for my pain while taking these other medicines? There can be a couple of issues with this group of medications. Taking the fluoxetine (Prozac) and tramadol (Ultram) together may result in an increased risk of seizures and serotonin syndrome (hypertension, hyperthermia, myoclonus, mental status changes). Taking the fluoxetine at the same time as the aspirin may increase your risk of bleeding. The dihydrocodeine is a narcotic analgesic that will slow you down and make you drowsy. The fluoxetine has a side effect that affects the electrical conduction of the heart muscle. It may cause a prolonged QT interval. In some people this may be quite a problem. P
