While there are probably physicians using this therapy, none would admit it out of fear that they would be charged with using an unapproved drug or procedure. In every state, local medical societies set what is called the standard of care. If a doctor fails to follow this standard they stand to lose their license and even go to jail. What most people do not know is that a recent study showed that the physicians who comprise the committees that determine the standard of care overwhelmingly have ties to the multinational pharmaceutical industry.
