Are there any disadvantages with a Prince Albert piercing?
Waiting untill it’s healed enough to have sex! Seriously though, The condom issue is probably the biggest disadvantage. I think trojan makes a condom with a larger reserve tip for PA’s. Condoms are pretty tough, but the added jewelry does seem to tear them sometimes (especially if you get a larger gauge). Condoms are recomended for the first few months, even if you don’t normally use them with your partner. You want to avoid having the healing piercing coming into contact with someone elses bodily fluids (including saliva) Some sexual partners won’t like the feeling of it. Most seem to enjoy them, but some find them uncomfortable. Once again, this mostly occurs when you have a large gauge piercing or large diameter jewelry in. They don’t seem to be very painfull, and most guys tell me there is only minor discomfort for the first week or so. You want to get it pierced at a larger gauge, normally no smaller than 12, to avoid the cheese cutter effect. The piercing will probably take a lot
