Are there any detrimental factors to forwarding email?

0

If you choose to forward this address to a non Art Center account (i.e. Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, Verizon, etc.), the Art Center IT team may not be able to help you with problems concerning your personal account. More importantly, once the email leave Art Center successfully, arrives at the destination domain, but does not get delivered to you, you may miss important official communication sent to your Art Center address, which you are responsible for checking. Due to ongoing SPAM problems, many ISPs have set up aggressive filtering rules that may deny or label as “junk” legitimate email. They may have rules to filter incoming email by header information (for example, deny or mark as “junk” messages that are being forwarded or relayed), or reject any list-based messages that appear to be a message sent to a group of people. If messages are ÒlostÓ due to such reasons, Art Center is not responsible for the handling of email by outside servers.
