There are some white-tipped reef SHARKS. It is reccomended not to splash rapidly like a ‘fish in distress’ and not to swim in murky waters. A person could be accidentally but not fatally stung by: Portugeese Man-of War- related to jellyfish but unable to swim; Centipedes- have many legs, move fast and could reach 6″; Scorpions are rare. Bacterias in water streams could infect your open cuts or wounds. Water in open ponds, and rivers is not reccomended for drinking.
