Are there any cute historic apartments for rent downtown?

Hi, I’m looking for an apartment in downtown or midtown and can’t find any great apartments. Im moving in 2 weeks and have searched craigslist and the daily news and haven’t found anything except ugly apts. I have an old cat and no car so I have to be near bike paths and the people mover. Im really excited to move and really need help with finding a decent place. I don’t mind noisy places and I could rent a small house or studio or small 1 bedroom. Thanks in advance for your input.
