Are there any costs involved if I sign up for UGAAlert?
The only costs you may incur for emergency messages you receive via UGAAlert will be from your cellular service provider. For example, you may incur charges from your provider a) if you elect to receive text emergency messages and your plan does not include this feature; b) if you have a “pay as you go” plan for voice messages; and c) if you exceed your allotted plan minutes for voice calls or text messages. You should check with your cellular service provider to determine what, if any, costs may apply. Also, please keep in mind that limited emergency and test messages will be sent using this system so any costs outside your plan should be nominal.
