Are there any costs associated with having a child supervised by the Juvenile Department?

Yes. If your child commits a law violation that is referred to the juvenile department and he/she is placed on a Formal Accountability Agreement (informal probation), there is a $10.00 supervision fee. This supervision fee is applied each time your child is referred to our office. If your child goes to court, a $30.00 supervision fee is applied to each Petition at disposition (both formal probation and diversion). If your child is referred to the “Stop Early” classes, a cost of $45.00 is applied and is payable to the juvenile department. If your child is referred to “Theft Talk” , they will send you notice of when the class will take place and there is a cost of $45.00 that is to be paid at the time of the class.
