Are there any copyright issues involved when I deposit an eprint?

You may remember whether or not you have signed away your copyright to the publisher. If you did so or if you dont remember, please check first what the policy of the publisher regarding copyright is. Some will allow you to deposit an eprint into an institutional repository. Check on www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo.php for publisher policies regarding self-archiving of e-prints. To find out who is the publisher of the journal youve published in, please check http://romeo.eprints.org/ If the publisher isnt listed on any of these lists, you should be able to find out in your personal agreement with your publisher or via the publishers website. Feel free to contact the project officer johanneke.sytsema@sers.ox.ac.uk for info. N.B. not many publishers are happy for their branded PDFs to be deposited. Often publishers have no problems if the author deposits his own final version of the article.
