Are there any contingency plans for hunting to continue?
Yes. Hunting has already prepared itself to be able to outlive a banning Act. Hunting has the financial and organisational ability to continue indefinitely, and the will do so for as long as is necessary. Hunts and clubs will ensure that they can exist as legal entities and that hunting skills and bloodlines are sustained until such a time that the law is shown to be unenforceable or any ban is repealed. Hunts and clubs will form the backbone of the civil liberties campaign that will keep the issue in the public eye and maintain public opposition to the ban and public pressure for the repeal of any ban. As soon as is appropriate the Council of Hunting Associations will announce their plans for the future of hunting with or without a ban. THE SCOTTISH EXAMPLE All packs in Scotland are still hunting!
