DMC will discover and classify ESX hosts and enumerate the guest VMs. To do this you need to include the IP address of the ESX host in the discovery range. Do not include the IP address of the guest VMs. Be sure that OMSA is installed on the ESX host. SNMP must be properly configured on the guest VMs. If this is done correctly, you should see the ESX host listed under All Devices | Virtual Servers. And the guests will be associated and classified as ‘Virtual Machines’ on the right side of the tree.
