Are there any compatibility issues with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?
10.6 (Snow Leopard) is the newest version of Mac OS X. Upgrading to this new operating system can improve many things, but upgrades can sometimes cause compatibility issues. We have found a compatibility issue in software on some LaCie products. Some products that come with LaCie Setup Assistant have a problem when installed on Snow Leopard. If you run LaCie Setup Assistant and get an error message, please follow the procedure below to optimize your drive for Mac OS 10.6. IMPORTANT NOTE: The procedure below will erase the LaCie disk. If you have data on your disk, you do not need to follow the procedure below. Begin by opening the Disk Utility program. This is found in Applications, then Utilities. When the program opens, click the drive that needs to be formatted on the left side of the window. In this example, we are erasing an 18.6 GB drive.
